Chatlarpar Horizon Foundation is a community foundation from the villages of Ulipur, Kurigram. Its first and main work is running Chatlarpar Horizon School.

Why this foundation exists

Talent is everywhere in our village; opportunity is not. The foundation is the long-term home for the school and for the community work Arafat Ul Islam has been doing in Chatlarpar and nearby villages for about eight years.

Where we work

Chatlarpar sits in Uttor Daldalia, on the western side of Ulipur Upazila in Kurigram District, near the Teesta. The Brahmaputra runs along the east of the upazila, and the low char islands of these rivers shape life here.

What we do

Chatlarpar Horizon School

The foundation’s flagship program: a school where every family can send at least one child all the way to graduation.

Community social work

Continuing the local work Arafat has done for about eight years in Chatlarpar and nearby villages.

Open, accountable governance

Registration status, decisions and money are reported publicly as the foundation is set up.

Where things stand today

The foundation is being set up. Trust registration is in progress. We will not ask for or accept foreign donations until the required NGO Affairs Bureau approval is in place.
