About the foundation
A foundation rooted in one village, built to last beyond any one person.

Mission
Every family in the village produces at least one graduate.
Who runs it
The foundation is run by Arafat Ul Islam, who grew up in Chatlarpar and has spent about eight years doing social work in Chatlarpar and nearby villages.
The founder’s story
When I was a boy in Chatlarpar, I taught the children in my village how to use a computer. They learned so fast. All they needed was someone to give them the chance.
I grew up in a middle-class family and studied at our village school. After SSC and HSC I came to Dhaka for my BSc in Computer Science & Engineering at AKMU. I'm now doing my MSc in Satellite Communication Security, researching the security of unencrypted GEO satellite communication links in South Asia. Today I work as PA to the Vice Chancellor at IUBAT and teach Cyber Security & Ethical Hacking at Ostad.
But I never forgot those children. Talent is everywhere in our village; opportunity is not.
So I'm building Chatlarpar Horizon School, a place where every family can send at least one child all the way to graduation. I can't do it alone.

Trustees
The trust deed is being finalised. Trustee names and roles will be published here once it is registered.
Where we work
Chatlarpar sits in Uttor Daldalia, on the western side of Ulipur Upazila in Kurigram District, near the Teesta. The Brahmaputra runs along the east of the upazila, and the low char islands of these rivers shape life here.
